3-stage and tinted lacquer paints

The vast majority of vehicle paint is 2-stage: a base layer which includes the colour and a clear, hard top coat.

Some vehicles have custom paint which is either 3-stage or has a tinted top coat. Most advice from a body shop is that a panel re-spray is needed which can be a costly expense and require a high level of skill to get a seamless finish.

We will always consider Stone Chip Correction for these complex paints as we use a range of suppliers that can provide a paint as close to a match as possible. A test is always conducted prior to client approval.
